Very true. And thank you for the civilized discussion. It's a very welcome change.

Show me the 'reasonableness' in turning down -in terms of a pay increase- more money than something like 90% of the country even makes. Or do you believe being 'righteous' will completely win the day in every way and that the NMB and politicos will buy into our case?
who gives a crap that we make more than 90% of the country? Irrelevant!

I don't know enough about the GS thing of which you speak to comment.
exactly! And while you are waiting to see your doctor you don't get paid for the trip. Not to mention you are having to spend your limited time off chasing doctors notes. Waste of your time and waste of the doctors time. Wake up and smell the coffee James! If you spent as much time toward calculating a solution and moving forward with the group for the common good as you do trying to defend company drivel we would be that much closer to success. As it is right now you are the equivalent of a fly in the room....just buzzing in my ear....

Scroll right on by stud. That's your prerogative. That's the thing. I couldn't care less.

I need more time off anyway.

The sick leave is exactly what the Co wanted in 2012. What changed??
I think our Dec reopener is reasonable, and with a couple adjustments to the AIP's would pass in the high approval range the MEC set as a goal.
We'll never get 22/7/7 without selling the farm on AIP's, which obviously won't happen. What would 22/7/7 put us compared to UAL? 10-15% ahead??? Guys, lets face it, we're handcuffed by the NMB and (mostly) pattern bargaining. UAL rates plus a few percent and comparable work rules and benefits improvements. If we give on the AIP's, then I would expect higher pay to offset. Bet we end up somewhere in this ballpark.

I do think there should be an exception for broken legs, malaria, dengue fever and things like that, but getting a note after 100 hours is no bfd. I just don't get the outrage.
Agreed. An exemption for surgery or disease and someway to mitigate the 8 to 12 day trip sickness. And no rolling 12 months. Done. Barring these, do many guys call in sick more than 4 to 5 4 day trips every year???

What Tubo1 said Tsquare...who care what anyone else makes that doesn't do what we do for a living? The other 90 percent could make the sacrifice and invest the time and training and experience required to do what we do and make...but they don't, and that's fine. For a guy that sells his soul on behalf of LBP, which makes all pilots from the top of the bottom of the seniority list equal in terms of pay, your petty arguments about the other 90 percent get lost in your hypocrisy...

How does 22/7/7 put us compared to UPS? That's without taking into account their A plan, and their B plan is almost as good as ours. How do we compare to UPS relative to vacation, trips touching, min day, monthly guarantee (reg and res), duty day max, block hour max, cost of medical, sick leave? Looking forward to your answers on each of those provisions Cogf16. As to your FUD argument, relative to the NMB...UPS destroyed that chicken little argument. Why do you argue so hard toward mediocrity?
