I read on one of the company emails they're going to cost $100, and you can buy 4 or 5 of them. I think it was a FLOPS update.

Thread creep... anyone know how much to buy my Surface2 ? Thinking of replacing my 4 year old laptop. $200 you think?
I just purchased a full Windows 10 Hp for a little over $200. It is not for gaming and the RAM and Hard Drive are minimal but is much, much better than a surface and worth every penny. It does not have a CD drive but you get an external that runs off a USB if you want to. So far I like this computer a lot. https://www.amazon.com/HP-Stream-13-...n%3A3545275011 Good Luck Scoop |

Don't do it. Buy something that runs Windows 10 or you will kick yourself later. JMHO

All I do on my laptop is surfing, emails and Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. 8 hr battery, decent sized screen. $100 seems like a no brainer

Until MS stops supporting them and then you have a $100 paperweight. Scoop |

I didn't hear all of his speeches, so I can't say one way or the other. I believe what I heard is that "at the time," we had gotten all we were going to get. The pilot group gambled that we could get more in a protracted battle. It remains to be seen if they were right.
So far, factors have changed to help us. UAL, AMR, and UPS raised the bar (they just as easily could not have). Anderson retired and Bastian is not compelled to uphold promises that were made before he took command (that just as easily could have been different). The company is still making money (anyone who's been in this industry any length of time knows that is no given). In short, the risky gamble might still pay off. I hope to hell it does. But there are strong indications that we are trying to double down. So until we sign a contract, I think I'll hold off on opening the champagne that some seem to be drinking. |
Thanks guys, think I'll pass on buying my Surface
