So if you bid the 320 you'll be more comfortable as you work harder.
will the 320 see more transcons/fewer legs with the 321's showing up?

Hahaha. Nope. Just lots of FL turns included. Hell, even the bid packages on the ER include multi leg days lately. But this is ATL. NYC seems to have more transcon type stuff on the bus. But ATL, fuhgeddaboudit!

LOL the 321 is arguably even less of a transcon plane than the smaller versions. All the variants can do it, although winter really pushes the limits. IMO newer planes getting entertainment is a bigger driver of getting transcon flights.

In any case, take the transcon capabilities of the A320 family and multiply it by 0.147 and that's about as much as it'll get due to our other fleets.

When you say transcon, do you mean JFK-AUS-SLC-SJC? If so then yes!

Going back ten pages I am reading to get to ATL quickest I should try for MD/717. yes/no?

The 737 would be maybe a six-month longer wait to get ATL compared to MD/717. yes/no?

Both based on starting in NYC. yes/no?

New to the commercial life so I accept I may be misreading the previous posts.

That's a correct assumption but movement is so fast I think you could hold ATL on any narrowbody in short order. So you can consider what airplane you'd like to fly if you have the luxury of having a choice but you'll enjoy the highest relative seniority on the 88 and 717.

Any idea how NYC will look like in the coming months with a lot of the maddogs pulling out of NYC? I'm in the minority and want NYC. With a low ssn I was already prepared for the maddog out of NYC. Which planes are going to pick up the slack? Dare I say there won't be any NYC openings or is it hated so much there should be NYC openings for new hires in every class. Thanks.

Rest assured, there will always be NYC vacancies for newhires. If not the 88, then 717.

I am curious about this as well. Company hasn't said too much but sounds like a pretty big deal. Maybe they don't know what to do yet but that is a lot of reshuffling to take place over a short period of time.
