I've got a good buddy here that has never voted Yes in 30 years. For anything. OK maybe when we extended medical to furloughed guys, if my memory is correct. Some guys will always find a reason, not sure if it's an attitude or the meat and potatoes of the agreement. Might be a Freudian thing.

Where did I say I was voting no? In fact, if you search the forums I'm currently planning on a yes vote. This is one of the major negatives in the TA which we can actually do something about.

I wrote my reps, one was somewhat dismissive and the other agreed but told me he was out voted. Unless people write their reps and let them know they want this gone, it will stick around, possibly permanently.

Mr. Mike,
Did I say how you were voting? I wrote them months ago, specifically on VB. They didn't listen to me either.

Hey now

Imagine six months from now if guys are saying, "OMG, VB is the best thing since sliced bread. Best thing about C2015. I love it!!!"

Will you still want to burn the witch?

How about we give it a chance?

Virtual basing and fitness review board. Both will quickly become non issues. Incredible, the attention they are both getting.

Sorry, for some reason I thought you were referring to me.

Nah, I was generalizing, probably not a good thing to do. Take care.

As I posted several times I suspect it will see very little use by the company. If we don't like how they use it we pull it down. A whole bunch of forum hysteria just like items in contract 2012 you never heard a peep about after implemented because they amounted to nothing.

I see the company getting very little practical utility from VB.

Besides...how often do we get a contractual provision that we can terminate the after the first year if we don't like it?

VB could turn out to be the next best thing since peanut butter and banana sandwiches...or it could be worse than the Zikka virus.

We can try it out....we can end it if it sucks.

Who knows. Maybe the company will want to end it and we won't. Dogs and cats sleeping together.

How many times do we have to reiterate this?.... "WE" can't pull down anything. The MEC can. Do you trust them??? Well if you do then you're a fool because elections are coming up and we don't even know who it will be. If the company likes the idea don't think they won't try and pull some sort of "horse trade" that the MEC can't pass up. "Here's an extra dime in perdiem for allowing us to continue this.... don't worry we'all never take advantage of it like that....oh wait" or "here's some 4th floor jobs for you if you let us continue this". If you don't think this can happen you are naive.

People have said over and over again I want my money in my name in an account nobody else can touch...... so why are we so quick to allow the MEC and company to decide our QOL, scheduling, pay, commute status, etc??????? If you really think the union and the MEC has acted solely in your best interest and not National's, their own, or the company's in the past decade, then you are living under a rock. Even if they were it will not be the same folks deciding this 12 months from now. I may be new but without a vote there is way too much room here for manipulation.

"Well.... we never thought they would do that.....". Does that sound familiar to anyone???
