Voting to recall is vastly different as was pointed out on this forum. It's a step most don't want to take unless they feel it's the only choice. I would however consider 83% a solid majority on one of the two issues. I suspect had the ATL pilots been given a vote the result on the other issue would have been about the same.
Because, I can point to the same type of circumstantial evidence to make a case that just 53% of ATL pilots felt that way.
I also wonder if the breakdown is available of how the pilots voted captain vs. FO's. I was surprised that more than a few FO's I flew with were very luke warm towards the TA. Even the ATL one's I met.
What's done is done though. Atlanta business if Atlanta business. I just hope you guys don't push things too far.

I just hope maybe they surprise me and find some new faces. We could really use a fresh perspective. Put some new hires in there. Somebody neutral. Somebody who is not loyal to either faction.
If the "powers that be" from the office in Atlanta who have always controlled our LEC meetings roll out a couple of the usual suspect/career ALPA types, I think you will hear a collective loud groan from the line pilots.

Pretty much. I think it smells bad to put someone in there as "interim" who plans to run for the permanent seat. Whatever though.
