I'm pretty cynical about this place and airlines in general, but this TA is a better deal than what we have now for most people here. The cuts for us lazy people that try to work as little as possible aren't as bad as what I anticipated. Lock in sorta permanent-ish rates, they're better than a temporary bonus. What do I know though? I'll get back to walking uphill both ways to school barefoot in the snow.
Bravo amigo.

I came on here expecting something different from you.

We may disagree on the semantics defining pay, but I'm with you about pay rates being better than a bonus. This is a good package. It's not perfect and we should get more, but it's a much better deal than what we have now and deserves our support. I'll be interested to see what other airlines do to one-up us if this goes through

Let's hope it becomes a bidding war!

Those of you who think this TA just really benefits the "Old Guys"... Remember... Whatever airline you chose, select it like you might retire there... Because you just might ask those at Eagle on 9/11...

Im only a first year at EDV... But have had a long enough career to see the best hopes and desires destroyed by our fickle "industry"

There are a lot of folks here who thought they were gonna be somewhere else by now... I even knew a few of them when we were all under 21, footloose and fancy free.

Seriously this TA is not a bad deal. Is there room for improvement? There always is room for improvement and they could come in the future in the form of LOAs. I say we ought to vote this in. Then I f the pilot market is as strong as everyone says it is, continual improvements are inevitable. By voting no are the extra enhancements we could theoretically get worth the gamble of what we are already being offered?

Don’t vote on this contract with the hopes that it will improve. Vote on this contract as if you have to live with it as is until 2024,

We had 89 LOA's with the last contract. I'm not sure I'll take your advice to vote on a contract as though I live in the land of make believe and that it will remain unchanged for the next 7 years.

Similarly don't vote on this contract with the assumption that the bonuses will last beyond 2018.

I understand, and agree with you. I may be new to the regionals, but I’m not new at life. The TA as it is written isn’t really good for me personally, but I can see how it benefits the more senior folks. And while I hope I am not here long enough to really see any benefits from it, I will most likely vote yes because it benefits the majority.

But I still think EDV has been leading the pack for a while now, and will continue to do so.

It's something they can easily stop if things go south.

They are not locked in like with hard pay rates.

We have an opportunity to change that.
