You’re preaching to the choir. I know all of this but I will counter by saying DALPA doesn’t need this, the company does...eventually (the RJs that is). In the grand scheme of things I think it will be a drawn out process one way or another; either in contentious negotiations, arbitration, or it’ll continue to not be an issue while jets are parked.

I would say we agree on all those points. I sincerely hope DALPA, (and all the other mainline airlines) do not cave on scope. It may hurt in the short run, but it is worth it in the long run.

Assuming your past claims are true, how does status quo hurt you or me (inside 300) for that matter? I’m advocating that regionals not grow. You want long term job protection and stability, becoming the airline that is selling the tickets accomplishes this. If you want safety, you are the at the wrong company. No regional is safe. |

I thought we already determined you are a junior FO out of NYC?

It’s more difficult to throw FO’s off the flight deck of a widebody, since there are usually two sometimes three of them.

Here we have a senior captain that can’t get hired anywhere else due to his **** poor attitude and world view. If it were up to him delta would remove all scope so that he can fly wide bodies at a regional since he will never get hired at a major.

Easy there, bubba. There were a lot more EDV pilots demanding flow-up than there are currently mainline pilots demanding flow-down.

I've applied to become an LCP, Chief Pilot union volunteer all to be told no. And people wonder why I'm bitter. Meanwhile some FO snags the CP job. |
