Compensation and work rules among regionals is still top notch here but career progression to Delta has never been a priority for management here and it continues to show.
With Delta's crew resource newsletter today stating "in addition to the December class [of 50], we anticipate hiring ~80 pilots per month in January, February and March 2019." Does anyone want to take a wild guess on when we might see the first DGI candidates go?

I'm guessing you're saying this since that's when our amendable date is, but you do realize that ALL the improvements we've gotten from retention bonuses to all the improvements in LOA 91 have come outside of Section 6 bargaining right?

Retetion bonuses only happened because the company was bleeding pilots now that Delta has gone and made its own source of pilots with the propel program they aren’t worried about filling Endeavor. I guess off the top of my mind I can’t think of any ground breaking improvement nothing significant to celebrate.

You're more than welcome to work elsewhere and see if another RJ carrier has as good of a contract+pay. We live in bubble.

Now that we're overstaffed, you could have been sweating the retention bonuses that were due to expire at the end of this year. But hey, to each their own.

Look at LOAs 71 and 91. Both were very big improvements to QOL and pay that had nothing to do with the amendable date. At 9E all of our improvements have come outside of the amendable period.

Also understand that Propel is all about filling seats at their regionals. It has nothing to do with making sure pilots go to mainline. They learned from their previous ETD mistake. They thought that a guaranteed job at DAL was all that everybody wanted but quickly realized that prospective pilots also wanted good pay and benefits.

Absolutely correct and why I think strategically it was a brilliant move to do what the MEC did to nail down the rates last year plus some other improvements. Kudos to them, they did a good job.

This is wrong. The perception is this is truth but it's far from it. If Propel was truly meant to staff “their”regionals, then 1) the only path in Propel would be the regional route. In fact, as you probably know, there are 3 routes for the collegiate path and 2) they would force the DCI carriers to take the Propel students. Also in fact, these students have to apply, interview, and be selected by a DCI carrier on their own merits and qualifications.
