And 3 days of ready reserve every single week, without fail.

Might help to include number of days off. Surely this isn't being done without picking up OT?

Almost prefer bidding reserve if I’m going for purely days off, cause I’ll fly maybe 15 hours on reserve and be home 12-14 of the 18 days of reserve; then I pick up one 4 day at 150% and credit 100ish while blocking 30-34 hours on the month.
But the months with a line I’ve hit 120 credit with relative ease and still had 10 days off.

Yep. I actually got am rdy a couple months ago... Only I had zero desire to get up that early. It was going bg to be #11 for the month ntg so I decided to let them call. After she told me it was assigned I just replied "OK since that's number 11 for the month I'll start my grievance now". She couldn't tell me "wait hold on" fast enough.

At least a year of reserve and half of that sitting at the airport. Anybody tells you different is lying, misinformed or lucky the list was moving when they got hired...

2 - 30 hours block and block to duty ratio is absurd! Think out and back LGA - BUF with 15 hours duty. Sitting since 0500 to get a call at noon leaving in 20 minutes, 3 hour sit in BUF then JFK with LIMO back to LGA. Liv'in the dream, baby!

Well, I’ve been here a year. Still on RSV. But I can count on both hands the amount of RR I have sat. Also, it’s looking like a line early 2020. So “a year” on reserve would be misleading. More like 9-10 months as training took the first 3. Does it suck? Yes. Could it be worse? Absolutely.

Works great if you live in base. But probably 90% don’t. I would take full advantage of it if I lived in base too.

Is this accurate for NYC base?

Default not good

Averaged 17 hours per month from Jan 19 to date (NYC200CA) I was assigned half (first out) and picked up half of that....
Having come here to get my time and get out, safe to say that plan is not working. If you are looking for that almighty TPIC this is not (currently) the job that will take you in that direction.
