[QUOTE=Casualinterest;2852024]Well the classes are scheduled haha. Now how many they put in them or show up remains to be seen. But what I've heard is one class per week with the 10-15 per class being the goal. Might actually be more, might actually be less. Might start in August, might start in October. Things change. But that's the recruiting and training game plan I've heard. And if we start losing more, they'll probably make the classes bigger. There is no shortage of qualified applicants

I personally think there is a slight shortage gaining momentum. Starting to see more and more go to LCC’s. Different mindset these days. We shall see if (qualified pilots) show up. Are flight instructors considered qualified ?

Why wouldn't they be? Do you have something against flight instructors?

Time will tell, but we're not in a shortage yet. Plenty of people still want to come here. And FO's leaving for LCC'S is probably more a reflection on them then it is us. Pay rates are coming up at the LCC's and they are still growing.

I can vouch for this one, for other bases too.

Yes some are qualified. Pay rates are matched and 9E has some competition. Let’s see if we get those 60 numbers

Probably seatlocks will expire in conjunction with people bidding out of NYC.

Seems like the people I fly with are more motivated to take any job they can get, now that they've seen the DGI numbers.

Correct. Adding to that there are an added number of pilots having great success over at United and they report that United really likes us.

Allegiant is joining the hiring party. Their pay is looking pretty good. Former 9E guy says there’s tons of soft pay too.
