A lot of those people only have 300-450hrs company/121 time. So that could skew the upgrade times. Otherwise thanks again!
Not to mention that training was dragged out 4-5 months and then 2 more waiting for OE. But the difference between Detroit and Atlanta is striking.

When my Feb 2018 class started, ATL and DTW were nearly equal for 200 FO. I’m DTW based, and thankfully was only on reserve 3 months (held a line since last December). I now have 670 hours. By comparison, a friend from that same class went to ATL. He was awarded his first line this month (September).

Definitely. Most junior ATL 200 line holder appears to be a Feb/18 hire. So roughly 20 months seniority to hold an ATL 200 line. However that will change slightly, as there are 10+ senior ATL 200 FOs moving to the 900 or upgrading between Nov/Dec/Jan. So that will shift lines somewhat more junior, but not much more than May/18 hires.

Default 19-06 update

Here's the latest. As expected, most folks moved up by about 50 spots. If you were hired in the fourth quarter of 2018 and later, you moved up more like 60.

Three pre-2014 hires upgraded last time, so if the numbers looked skewed, then that was probably it. Also, congrats! (edit: I'm not including the number of FOs not on this list, because that kinda feels like singling people out)

I condensed the 2016 hires, because they probably can upgrade on this vacancy if they're willing and able.
  • These counts are based on the 11/6/2019 ISL.
  • "FOs ahead of you" means FOs from classes ahead of you. It doesn't include people in your class.
  • PHTs and FTIs are included. They might upgrade. They might not.
  • FOs hired before 2014 are not included. The goal is to exclude FOs who won't upgrade or are waiting for an MSP spot. If you were hired before 2014 and are planning to upgrade... I had to draw a line somewhere. No offense intended.
  • FOs hired less than 18 months ago are not included. The goal is to exclude FOs who probably don't have at least 1000 company hours (or 800 company hours once they change it).
  • I have no idea when any of these folks are going to upgrade. Want to speculate wildly? Be my guest. Please don't ask me.

Default 19-06 final update

Congrats to those upgrading. Most of the upgrade action came from mid-January '17 to mid-April '17, with a few May 2017 hires sprinkled in as well.

Next update at the next initial.

Updated for the 20-01 final.

Folks hired before 3/2017 have had a few chances to upgrade now, so I'm going to try something new. There are two numbers below... one is the total number of FOs ahead hired after 2014, and one is the total number of FOs hired after 4/1/2017. The assumption is that folks hired before 4/1/2017 will upgrade at a trickle at this point... that might become the new place where I draw the line on this list.
  • These counts are based on the 1/6/2020 ISL and the 20-01 final rev.0.
  • "FOs ahead of you" means FOs from classes ahead of you. It doesn't include people in your class.

Default 20-02 initial update

Updated for 20-02. Most folks moved up between 55 and 75 spots.

Last time, I played around with drawing a new line on the final update. There's almost no upgrade movement from hires through 2016, so to make things cleaner, I'm testing that new line at 1/1/2017. No longer counting folks hired in 2015 and 2016 accounts for an additional 45 spots.

There are two columns below. The first column is based on the old cutoff. The second column is based on the new cutoff. If you're an optimist, use the smaller number. If you're a pessimist, use the bigger number.

Unless 2015-2016 FOs upgrade in bunches this time around, I'll stop using the old cutoff altogether after this update.
  • These counts are based on the 3/2/2020 ISL.
  • "FOs ahead of you" means FOs from classes ahead of you. It doesn't include people in your class.
  • PHTs and FTIs are included. They might upgrade. They might not.
  • FOs hired before 2014/2017 are not included. The goal is to exclude FOs who won't upgrade or are waiting for a line/MSP spot/etc. If you were hired before 2014/2017 and are planning to upgrade... I had to draw a line somewhere. No offense intended.
  • FOs hired less than 18 months ago are not included. The goal is to exclude FOs who probably don't have the company hours to upgrade.
  • I have no idea when any of these folks are going to upgrade. Want to speculate wildly? Be my guest. Please don't ask me.

Thumbs down 20-03 initial update

Updated for 20-03. Obviously, this is a much different situation than the last update.

Potentially displaced captains might want to know where they stand in line for vacancies. Between displacements and the 20-01/20-02 vacancy cancellations, everyone else will obviously slide down the list.

This list includes FOs, the bottom 40 NYC 200 captains, and the bottom 24 NYC 900 captains.

I expect fewer senior FOs to bypass now that the music has stopped, so I'm drawing the cutoff line at 2014 again.
  • These counts are based on the 6/30/2020 ISL.
  • "Pilots ahead of you" means FOs and potentially displaced CAs from classes ahead of you. It doesn't include people in your class.
  • PHTs and FTIs are included. They might upgrade. They might not.
  • FOs hired before 2014 are not included. If you were hired before 2014 and are planning to upgrade... I had to draw a line somewhere. No offense intended.
  • Pilots hired less than 24 months ago are not included. I had to draw a line somewhere. No offense intended.
  • I have no idea when any of these folks are going to upgrade. Want to speculate wildly? Be my guest. Please don't ask me. Voluntary displacements likely will make any speculation much wilder.
