There you go removing FO’s from your flight deck... AGAIN!.Is that your only solution? 20 years here 17 as a Captain...never removed a FO ever.....you might need to remove yourself. Honestly you need to come up with a better solution. Like communicating

Im pretty sure the company allowed exceptions during that time so downgraded capts wouldn’t have to buy new jackets (or have them tailored), new epaulets and new hats (like any self respecting pilot would wear that thing if they weren’t forced to).

I'm sure people probably missed it, but the update today casually mentioned we expect the summer schedule to run 450-500 flights per day. Pretty sure we were over 1000 per day last summer. 50% is better, but it's probably not going to stop downgrades. Fingers crossed I guess

The issue is schoolhouse throughput. If you furlough and downgrade, you will have to eventually recall and upgrade. The schoolhouse cannot keep up with the throughput of the demand.

Regionals recover first, and feel it last. The company will come for concessions first, maybe a bankruptcy, and then consider furloughs/downgrades. Delta/Endeavor want to be in a position to capture market share when the recover does come around. It’s gonna be the early 2000s all over again if mainline give sup scope.

Why am I getting the feeling this Ra-ja “senior MEM-ATL” commuter is just a depressed riddle grad that wears a popular engine manufacturer lanyard around to show off how edgy and anti-company and anti-union he is while low key flexing on all the pilots that have actual bills to pay and can’t afford to own an aircraft??

Must be imagining things again silly me

I’m estimating 25% downgrades, 50% furloughs.

Roughly 900 furloughs 450 downgrades.
And I went to Ole Miss for those of you wondering.

Sounds good. I’ll take 65/hr to swing gear while you fly the plane.
