Hiring

Their pay scale already includes RJs. There's no reason to bring us in house. They get a good product from us in the customer service scores and our most expensive captain is cheaper than a 2nd year FO at Delta.

That is another topic and one that I don’t have the answers to. I simply stated that all flying at Delta (and the other majors for that matter) should all be done by mainline seniority list pilots. The notion that a Delta or United pilot is too good for an RJ or that a 1500 hour CFI couldn’t handle a A330 with proper training is BS. That is my point.
For those who want to move on, I’d be more focused on increased opportunities to move on to the mainline lifestyle, and less on “Flow”.
Ask those American regionals how that so called “flow” is working out for them.

That would be considered a flow with zero outside hiring at mainline. Do you honestly think that has any chance, any. Delta management has nothing great to say about the first original flow from Compass.
You’re obviously one of the those orange lanyard “progress” guys. Listen as a former regional guy myself I get it, but Delta firmly stands on vetting their own new hires.
Why? Because you have individuals at regionals with some serious “skeletons” that slipped into easier hiring requirements OR picked up some “skeletons” while employed.
I heard specifically Endeavor has some guys with DUI’s or felonies that with a seniority list as you stated would be eventually flying Dreamliners around the world.
Yeah absolutely not.

I was referring to the potential flow that your airline was specifically in pursuit of. I was told multiple times Delta wanted nothing to do with it, why? The guys and gals mostly on the more senior side of the EDV seniority list with some serous skeletons.

Delta HR doesn’t look to employ pilots with seniority numbers already at Delta, they employ pilots without them. Needless to say, if you decided to pick up a fairly serious “skeleton” while already employed at big daddy D, you chose the right time.

“Skeletons” as you say aren’t necessarily age or seniority related. Yes, it’s true that there maybe a higher percentage towards the upper end of the seniority list. But that’s partly because Delta already sorted through them twice with the SSP interviews. And btw, the also passed over a lot of good pilots without those so called “skeletons.” But what’s to say that they can’t revise the hiring process at Endeavor and say from this point forward you can flow if you meet certain criteria?
Delta wasn’t my first choice, I didn’t want to commute. I made it all the way through the United interview to the final step, which was the HR portion, received a TBNT letter a week later, welcome to life.
Dream airline was American, did everything I could to get an interview, no call. Welcome to life.
It’s a running joke at mainline when we talk to each other about this subject, it’s rare any of us end up at the airline we want.
Throw your orange lanyards in the garbage, turn your apps in everywhere, and continue building a resume.
I’d love to see more passion from the pilot group on a flow to endeavor through a university, no interview. Since you’re so passionate about “progress”.

I’m willing to bet everything I have there are individuals who’ve interviewed with Delta who were substantially more qualified than I was, I’m not arrogant, welcome to life, you clearly just want a free ride to Delta, good luck with that.
