I heard they pull your cjo and you're SOL. Not kidding either. Word I've heard from multiple sources.

Where are those 35 aircraft going and who will fly them? If the industry is short of pilots, now what?

They’re not new aircraft. They’re the formerly Compass 175s, now spread between OO and YX.

Do they come with their own CAs? Or do the CAs already at Endeavor have to delay their flow to DL another 35,000 x 6 hours to give time to mature enough FOs to upgrade eligible to staff them? Because every new aircraft is going to require 6 new CAs and the regionals are all short on them right now. Look at the DEC bonuses being offered.

Again, these aren’t new aircraft. They are already on the certificates of OO and RP. All this was in the works pre-covid. Planes were moved and flown, DALPA grieved the 35 aircraft and the arbitrator made DL park 35 planes. With the flow deal at 9E, the max number of 76 seat jets flown at Delta Connection is back up by 35, just in time for the Captain Crunch (did I just name the current regional environment?!) to prevent said aircraft from actually taking to the skies.

Retirement age going up. 67 1/2 or even 70, maybe until you can no longer hold a 1st Class medical.

Hiring slows down, for sure and then this industry begins to suck once again.

It just doesn’t matter. Not enough people would stick around the extra years to matter. Dying with the most money in the bank is not winning the game.

I hate to break it to you but flying a painted RJ does not make you qualified to fly at a legacy. Flying a plane is flying a plane, it’s not that hard. People who’ve taken the steps to go above and beyond the bare minimum are getting lost in the mix because the 9E union has decided everyone deserves a seat at the table. There’s reasons someone stays at a regional for 20+ years and it should never have been up to the union to get them to the next level.
Either your Flame bait or a WiNer! You will be one here or wherever you go!!! I bet you’ve never done Jepp Paper Revisions before! Seniority is King thank goodness…
