I love how everything that happened at 9E is the pilots fault, LOL!

You have no idea how I voted, but I doubt they were bluffing.

What I do know is that whatever happens here won't effect you, unless we buy VX and staple you.

Wouldn't that suck.

How many years of losses does it take to get to the center of branson pulling the plug on VX? Let's find out.

Hey now I will fly a 50 seater for pennies but I draw the line at flying a main line plane for a few more pennies.

What if they upped the cap to 13 years and 5 for FO's?

Now we are talking. They also have to give us cover parking in MSP again and I will take it.

If you thought they weren't bluffing you voted yes. Think about it, Delta isn't dumb to hinge an entire operation based on just one vote of a group. These decisions are made ahead of time and planned well in advance. It's not like when you voted Delta was eagerly standing by to see if they are going to shut you down and call GoJets. Delta already had it planned out well in advance. They planned a loss of all CRJ-200s and buy a few additional -900s to satisfy Bombardier and meet the growth of the 70 seater as allowed by the Delta PWA.

Well I guess you could always Endeavor for that to happen!

You know what *******?... your vitriol against this entire situation is pathetic. You must have some serious feelings of inadequacy if you have nothing better to do than keep kicking this pilot group.
How about we talk about Virgin America and its spectacularly poor financial performance, the allegations of bailout money from parent Virgin, and the fact that they continually petitioned the US government to allow them to continue to hide their financial reporting for a few more years so that the competition would not know how bad they were doing.
How about we talk about that, about how VA has slowed their delivery schedule with Airbus dramatically because they cannot afford to receive new planes. Lets talk about that. We could talk about your company's net loss of $671 MILLION dollars or the voluntary leave they were considering in 2013.
So how about you go worry about your own problems with your airline that will most likely be gone by the end of the decade. I don't care if 9E is gone or stays, and when I leave 9E I will wish everyone the best of luck. I can't say the same about you.

What a total disaster! 9E hadn't even completed its operational merger, and there were still a fenced and an unfenced side. The concessionary contract has a stipulation that next time if there is a merger, ain't no one bidding across a certificate until the fenced merger operation is all complete. That's what it SHOULD have been in the first place between Mesaba/Pinnacle/Colgan. But no, Mesaba Saab pilots had to find new seats ASAP. Oh well, ALPA and the JCBA reaped what it sowed.
As much as it pains me to agree with Shy, the vacancy alignment was a cluster of galactic proportions. There's not an airline in the entire universe that could have handled that magnitude of operational disruption smoothly, and with 9E management the implosion was all but guaranteed.

Granted, there are a million other reasons why 9E collapsed but that vacancy and the way it was handled was a disaster of biblical proportions that pushed an already horrifically mismanaged airline over the cliff.

I agree.

No doubt Richard Anderson foresaw this too. They understand how ALPA works much better than ALPA does.

It's much easier to dismantle and reorganize a company in bankruptcy, don't you think?
