Endeavor (9E) interviews and offers?
#101
Ok guys like I said, if I'm way off (or only 5% correct) set me straight... Again I didn't "know" kicker, besides asking him one question about 7 years ago, and thought he was a jerk, so when I heard from numerous guys about him kicking the guys chair, the story seemed to fit the bill. Higney, my PM is working just fine, and I'm not one who likes to believe rumors, so is like to hear the 95% I'm wrong about.
And mooney I agree, there are ALWAYS two sides to every story, especially when it involves a pink slip.

stay out of this Beavis, don't ruin a good story in these times when morale is low!
but as a side note, if there is one thing I have learned in this industry, is most of the "bad guys" (not all) are given this reputation by some false rumor started by a disgruntled troublemaker. Like the guy I personally saw red screen 2 v1 cuts, forget half the single engine QRH, and and run off the runway after a zero flap landing, then tells his buddies in the crew room "he busted me because I forgot to turn on the cowls on the approach in icing for like 20 seconds."
Or the types that call in sick on every holiday that ***** we need a Dr note, or the guys that ruined our "days off for interviews" just to get days off....

Those who "fear" the guy you call "pink slip" is the guy I would do an oral, PC, or type ride with any day of the week. He's a straight shooter. You either know your stuff, or you don't. The XJ way is far different. In my opinion, too easy. No digging in orals (just to teach something new), only basic failures in PC's. You need to learn something in a training event.
Say what you want, but things are changing, and not in the way that helps pilots truly know the plane they are flying. I can't tell you how many times it has been helpful to truly "know" the plane from training to be helpful on the line.
How the so called "pink slip" didn't get the SSP truly bothers me. Say what you want, but I'd vouch for him any day of the week.

Don't start chief, I think I still owe you a saucer night BTW. I've watched this thread. I find irony in the guy coined "pink slip" has the highest pass rate (and is actually a great guy if you don't try and BS your way through an oral), and the guy accused of "kicking the chair" is a bus FO at purple when the guy red screened the sim. Back seat driving is easy, but stating the truth is a whole new ball game.

Pink slip was one of the most straight forward and fair guys I ran across at pcl. Spent a little time in the sim building with him and some other sim guys. I remember thinking how far off base what I heard about him was. Good dude.
