I worked in the Standards dept for several years and I was original Pinnacle. Once Mesaba took the throne you could feel how they couldn't wait to get rid of anyone who was not Mesaba. I think that was evident in how they could not close the Mem sim center fast enough since it was a thorn in their side. I was under JB's thumb for a year and that was long enough. Their philosophy is- The Mesaba way is the only good way. If the pilot's performance doesn't meet the bar, lower the bar. TTP everything and give 200 hours of OE, they'll eventually get, even though they have been an FO on the A/c for 5years-. If you are original Pinnacle or Colgan you will automatically have a strike against you. Being in the training dept is a great addition to your resume but it does not come without the Marionette string attached. Good luck, hopefully YMMV

[QUOTE=Avroman;1840821]Classes are still running, interviews still being offered.[/QUOTE
Okay then I must have read an old gouge. I don't believe there are any current gouges on Endeavors hiring process these days.
I will be flying up from Iah to Msp today for an interview tomorrow.
I'll post how it goes so new guys have something to go off of.

2) Yes that sounds right
3) Interesting how Mesaba was the safest regional airline since it's inception and never had any fatalities. Pinnacle...not so much. I'm sure the bar was raised high enough with the Mesaba instructors
4) We all know the Pinnacle check airmen were milking the system. They'd keep us in the IOE system to maximize their checks.
5) That sounds about right. Standards needed to be kept high.
