They have one more major hurdle to make this the place to be and that is upgrade movement.
And I guess that as soon as they are convinced they can sustain hiring, they will announce the resolution to that problem.

I don't think anyone is hoping for your demise. I'm only regurgitating what I've heard from others. I think those bonuses are what actually scared many off. Seemed desperate on the part of Delta and I know many think it was just to keep the wheels on the bus until they can figure out other options.

And there are many that are hoping for 9E's demise.

Don’t you guys realize what Delta has effectively done with this 80k retention? They have given the endeavor pilots a raise! I don’t think it is coincidental that the bonus ends when the current pilot contract ends. They have recognized that part of the problem all airlines are having now is because of poor salaries at the regional level, and it has affected them because of the attrition, moral and the hard to find new hires.
As far as I understand it, at Endeavour there are aircraft that have been refurbished sitting in storage because there are no drivers. The more drivers they are able to attract, then more aircraft that will fly. The more aircraft flying the more captains that will be required, the more Capts required the more first officers hired and the cycle continues.
I know that there is a lot of hurt and disappointment with Pinnacle, Mesaba and Colgan, I hope however that there will be a change….and the morale will continue to improve. Ultimately all I want to see is all regionals have movement and better quality of life. We should no longer be abused for the love we have of flying and be properly compensated irrespective of the level we are flying at, as we all know an aircraft is an aircraft A380 to a Beech 1900 we all work hard and have families we need to feed. So lets all rally behind each other and work to getting the respect and compensation we all deserve.

Endeavor is on the way up. Those that left last fall are regretting their decision. They will come in these boards and talk about all the reason why endeavor is a bad decision. This is all based on a tough experience they had, times have changed. Talking to 7yr first officers is misleading because they are really two years first officers who go unlucky to be in the wrong place when the music was paused for 5 years. The music is finally playing and Delta is trying hard to make Endeavor work. Delta is the most successful major right now. Might be a good thing for your aviation career to be at the company the most successful US airline is trying to make work.
