Yeah, I guess I'll have to brush up on my history. I'm a CJO who hasn't committed yet. Also have CJOs from SkyWest, TSA, GoJet, ExpressJet, Envoy, and Piedmont. Have interviews next week at Republic, PSA, Compass, and Air Wisconsin. At age 57, the relatively small differences in pay aren't much of an issue for me. I'm also not too concerned about accessibility to the majors. But, things like commutability from my home in San Antonio, time on reserve, and upgrade times are. How would you all say Endeavor stacks up against the others in those areas? Overall, I was pretty impressed with Endeavor. I just don't have a good feel for which one will best suit my needs. I'll appreciate whatever insight any of you has to share. Thanks, Tom.

Right now, GoJet, and Republic I wouldn't have wasted my time showing for the interview. SkyWest has been a fairly stable product for a long time, however movement has been slower. TSA, I'm not sure what's brewing there currently. Envoy/Piedmont... well if you aren't interested in American (as you stated) I wouldn't bother, and the same goes for PSA (I wouldn't bother wasting my time interviewing in your shoes) As for Compass, I think their guaranteed flow movement is just about done if not already. Endeavor, has improved, though there is plenty of room for further improvement, especially on reserve. But at least most of the pay has been restored to pre bankruptcy (with the retention bonus) However Delta refuses to put anything in writing guaranteeing the guy with CJO's there that they will truly be honored and we've already seen a small backtrack this year. To balk on the deal would be a disaster here I believe, but I don't trust Delta either since they refuse to put anything in writing.

So how does Reserve actually work (simple overview)
you get hired, you make training, you are assigned a base, you go through IOE and then...
can you bid a line but you are bottom of seniority?
you are assigned XXX days a week to be "on call"?
you sit at home and watch Oprah and collect a check?
etc, etc ?
Thanks, Jeff
