They are not fun for the guy flying with you tho. The mic is horrible and you can't hear the guy. Also at transmissions are very week. I would stay away from them.

I've never had that issue with anyone I've flown with that used the QC15

That's bull ship. My UFmic is super quit and voice activated. Way quieter than the 750s I had.

The Uflymike has a gain adjustment on the mike. If it's not set right it can be obnoxious for the other guy.

I think the bigger issue is that we (myself included) as a company seem to leave our mikes hot all the time.

Really? I've been using mine for 6+ years and this is the first time I've heard this claim. If what you say is true, it's frustrating that more people don't speak up! In my opinion, fwiw, I've noticed mike problems off and on over the years, but not enough to see a trend towards one type of headset. They all can have problems

I feel like Howard Stern when I speak through my UFM.

I don't know. Every guy I fly with that has them I can't hear them very well at all. They are quiet for you yes but they aren't good for the guy sitting next to you.

Lucky for peeps I always keep the IC off and stay silent throughout the entire flight thereby decreasing threat and error.

I still question what you're saying? Like I said earlier, you're the first one that's said anything about it. Are you sure it's not your headset or intercom volume? Just seems odd to me

Circles and dead horses. How about the rumor malarkey of 9E getting -700's as seem to be the rumor circles in MSP.
