Just a heads up though with the changes to ready reserve we are only assigned RR if there is a spare aircraft that particular day. So far this month I have not been able to get AM RR on my last day because of that....

Yea...I'm aware...just trying to gain a few extra hours at home since my actual ride home is at 2140 if I stick with my scheduled reserve. Thank for all your information..

You can bid a CNO line if you have reserve next month and want to flexibility for commuting. They are always looking for volunteers. That's if you're up for high speeds. 1st day usually starts at like 10pm and last day ends no later than 9am. Can also call in to get released that last day if it's a 4+ day sequence. Makes commuting to reserve a little more bearable until you are a like holder. More days at home and you can pretend you're a fedex pilot with the overnight flying.

Absolutely not. You might be owned by mainline but you have no priority over mainline. Not dependents or retirees.

Currently, but when flights are delayed/cancelled there may be a change of heart

Doubtful. They knew exactly what they were doing by opening up that base. Any contract states that you have to show up to work when you are told. I bet a lot of people are going to be using that commuter clause.
