What does it matter what apc says for a contract interpretation? From another web poster with no useable knowledge, that's exactly how the contract works. The union has been telling guys in the crew room for more than a year to do exactly what you did because that's exactly how it pays. If they remove the 5 day you're still a reserve pilot so you arent pay protected like a lineholder.

I appreciate the explanation. Honestly the contract is not an easy to read document. (I am not a lawyer). So any explanation always helps.

Well so far you've gotten a few opinions, a rep a or one of the many paid lawyers can get you an explination.

If you're new to JFK there's at least one rep in there always answering questions during his sits. BP i think are his initials

I've been here less than one year and have read about 90% of the contract, I am far from being lawyer. Putting on your big boy pants and sitting down and reading alittle goes a long way. It gets me when people come here to ask contract based questions.

Well in my first year here, I had to read stuff like FOM, CFM and systems manuals not just once but twice. I don't have time to read
