(there's always an exception it seems in life so, yea)
Well said Avroman. To the letter. I couldn’t agree more. I do feel for the persons that were displaced during this irop. But it seldom affects me since I keep stuff simple.

It's duty period AND day. As in multiple duty periods gets multiple min days, but a day without flying (32 hr layver) gets a min day as well.

First new paychecks are out, quite the increase, however, looks like income taxes went up for me, though I'll get a bigger tax return in 2019. Interest free loan to the government, winning!

It’s unlikely that your income taxes went up overall. You are likely seeing a bigger amount of taxes monthly than you are used to, but it will likely be lower than the 25% taken out of the bonus (unless you are in the 25% bracket already).

At the end of the year, unless you are in a 25% or higher tax bracket, your federal taxes should be lower than last year.

And the smart money has you either breaking even at tax time, or preferably owing the gubmint a little bit of money.

Yea, the IRS literally has no idea how to roll out the new w4 guidance. Their suggestion was literally to just guess and check it mid year. Lol love it....

Looks like they forgot to update everyone - new hire pay stubs are showing the old rate $30.30. Hope they fix it soon!

Default General common sense request

With the flu spreading rapidly...please don’t be that macho man randy savage and try to come into work when you’re sick. You’re doing an extreme disservice to your entire crew. It’s extremely selfish. I saw a post over on the FB group asking bout FAA approved medicines. Keep your ass home. *end rant*

There was an email stating they all will show the old rates with a Crew Adj line to increase to the correct amount. Not just the new hires. You are still getting paid the right amount.
