Requires a service dog but still holds a first class medical?

I didn't think a blind person could get a first class medical.

Upgrade times may still be quicker than other places for a few more months unless we see more growth, but they are not on board with those prior 121 coming over with experience and getting into the left seat quickly. There were 12 NYC 200 CA slots that went unfilled last vacancy and the union is trying to get another vacancy run to prevent new hires from getting those slots. Stay tuned....

Why shouldn't they? People who were 15 hours short of 1000 121 should get bypassed for 3 months before 18-02, or however long it takes, in order to benefit people who don't work for the company?

I agree with this. If the company can do something to help upgrade people already at the company, they should do so. I’m a prior 121 new hire, and I’m all for getting everyone already on property upgraded by any means possible before letting a new hire upgrade. I imagine most of us prior 121 feel the same way. We’ve all been there, paid dues. No need to jump ahead if someone is ready.

Great! They need to hold a vacancy every month in that case. Nothing wrong with providing more opportunities for FOs to upgrade each month!

Perhaps I came across against the Unions actions, I'm simply putting the info out there for perspective applicants that may be banking on a lighting fast upgrade. That's what these boards are for, putting out info that you're not going to hear from a recruiter.

It's the company's fault if they don't want to award someone with 25-50 hours of having the 1000 121 requirement. My last carrier only required FO's to have their time before they entered upgrade class. This should have been addressed last year when they started awarding fairly new hires upgrades over those within reach of the requirement.

What kind of dog is it? Is the dog pictured in their company ID?
