Seems "retention bonus" is back on the menu, folks!

It sounds like they're considering it. Good thing we have that contractual max in there. I think we're the only regional in the country that has a contractual maximum retention bonus.

This is what I'm asking Santa for
Progression improvements
Hourly bump
Reserve rule improvements

Want to get crazy? How about commuting home PS? That would do it lol

Please don't negotiate here.

As far as attrition goes... there's big attrition between seniority numbers 600 and 1000, but there's noticeable attrition at almost every level south of 400 on the seniority list. That's good news for us.

No, we have a contractual max new hire bonus, not a retention bonus.

Haha oh good point. I literally read what I wanted to read. Sorry about that! I know they're talking about raising the new hire bonus.

Are we really talking about retention bonuses again??

Retention bonuses? I suppose it could happen, but........Keep in mind what was happening when we last got the bonuses: folks mostly weren't going to DAL, United, AA, or even places like JB or Spirit. They were doing lateral moves to places like PSA, there were real questions as to our viability, and we still had a bankruptcy contract dragging us down.

By and large, that's not the case anymore.

Mostly we're all in this for the Benjamins, but I don't see them putting a bonus out there big enough to prevent movement to the likes of UAL, or even places like JB.

Not yet anyhow.

There is only 1 retention bonus which will stem the attrition. It ain't green, but it rhymes with glow.

And I don't see it happening unless the mothership can find a way to do it without being forced to take double NOs. And boy howdy, what kind of lawsuits will be loosed if the 9E MEC signs off on it?

Anyone know the answer to these two questions? How many did we hire in Jan? What is the new hire pass rate lately?
