But reading this thread it seems you fly fairly often on reserve. Can anyone shed some light on why that is? I would think if there are so many more flights they would make more lines to bid.
I'm at JFK and I have been averaging about 25 hours of flying a month. My friends at other bases are flying more. I usually end up dead heading somewhere to overnight and then operating the leg back to JFK or vice versa.

This time of year there is more flying out of LGA than JFK, so I think my low amount of flying is due to that.

I also have a line in April and I'm a July 2015 hire. Just for reference.

Had my interview yesterday and I got hired! For those who have an interview coming up I have a couple of tips. Be yourself, be honest, study the gouges, and have fun. Very relaxing interview and a great experience! I start class June 6 and I will go down to Dallas May 23. Good luck!

Was May 23 the earliest CTP date available? I have an interview coming up in two weeks and curious how long the CTP wait is as well...

No, they have open spots before that but I'm still short some hours. Not sure when the earliest is but I'm pretty sure they still have some April openings

Indoc. I did mine almost 6 week prior to class date. You pick a class date you think youll have the hours by, then pick the week you want to do the CTP. CAE runs the CTP course every week for 49 or 50 weeks in the year, so no shortage of slots. The SIM time in CTP counts towards your R-ATP, so its a nice way to bump up 12 hours.
