What do you think of the 850s? I feel like they provide little to no hearing protection, which adds up over the years. Actually, I have only used the 750s, not sure if the 850s provide more passive protection or not.
FWIW I've heard a couple captains ***** that the clarity aloft lets in a lot of noise like breathing etc. never flew with someone that had one so I can't comment. I had the A20 for a while and it's insanely quiet in the CRJ but o switched to the 850 a couple months ago for something lighter. Once you get past the increase in noise vs. the A20 there very comfortable.

I use the 850 and so far have no complaints. They are quiet enough and not overkill like the Bose's, which I also have a set of. 850s take up less room in my flight case and IMO the 200 cockpit isn't that loud. Also after 5 legs I don't like my head to be in a vice grip with a bulky around ear headset.

To redeem myself from my earlier dumb question I'll chime in here. Gotta end on a good note.

Agreed with everything they said. Only down side is there is no "cushion" at the top of the 850's so they can dig into your head. Other than that I love them.

I know these things change all the time but can anyone tell me what the DOH is for the most Jr line holder in LGA and JFK? Also how long is the current training footprint from day 1 of Indoc to IOE?
Would really appreciate the info. Just trying to make some decisions being that I live 20mins from both airports. You can PM me as well if you prefer that.
Thanks!

Training: No delays that I am aware of. I was just shy of three months, and I was assigned the last sim slot (two weeks from end of ground to FTD) and had thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years to contend with. 2-3 months is a reasonable guess.

DOH: whatever the most recent class is. Poster a few pages back said newhires had LGA900 on offer. New York 200 bases coming online soon so you could very easily get based there.
