Thinking about throwing my app in with Endeavor. How is life for the new FO's? Is training in MSP? Where can a new FO expect to be based? Also curious about the Delta flow program. If you are employed by Endeavor do you have to wait until your seniority number comes up to get on with Delta, or can you interview outside of the flow program if you are competitive enough?

Thanks for any info you can toss my way.

We are basically hiring into all bases (MSP and DTW on the CRJ-200 and LGA and JFK mostly on the 900. DTW 900 is going very junior also...could be available within a few months at most if not right away. MSP 900 is more senior though but for perspective was recently awarded to a April 2014 new hire. (for further perspective that is only ~100 numbers up the seniority list though.)

Ground school is done in MSP. Sims are usually in MSP but at times can be in other places. About the SSP vs off the street, we have had several FO's and captains get hired outside of the SSP.

Thank you for the information. Does the retention bonus start the day you are hired or at another point, like after training is complete?

I am little worried about being on reserve for an extended period of time. I live in Florida and would like to commute. I know that commuting sucks, but it would mean the best situation for my family.

The way the retention bonus is set up, you will get credit for the entire month of the month you start class.

Thank you! Good to know.

One more question, how are they with Guard and Reserve duty? I know they "have to let you go," but how are they in "real life?" Any issues, concerns?

The retention bonus goes in periods (jan-april, may-aug, sep-dec) and paid out the month after the period ends. If you are hired in the middle of one of these periods your retention bonus is pro-rated starting at your date of hire.

With regard to reserve that is the hard question to answer as you know I'm sure. With sustained movement you shouldnt be on reserve for too long, and thus far this year we have not had any major hiccups in hiring. All things considered though, past performance doesn't predict future results, as they say.

Being in the guard was one of my biggest reasons for going to a regional. So far I'm happy with the move from that standpoint. I got jacked around pay wise once, but that was under the old regime. Now for pay discrepancies, I've never had a fuss, and never taken more than a day to correct....whether the pay issue was in regards to military or otherwise. So yeah, this is pretty MIL friendly.

Thank you, block. I appreciate the honest answer. I am in the Guard also and it's always one of my first questions when looking at a potential new employer.

Not a flow.

And the SSP hasn't been extended to newhires yet.

Just curious where you got those numbers. Todays union email says 24-25 total airframes for the remainder of the year. Thats an increase over what was planned.
