They got an internal email at CP. Been posted on their thread and I spoke to a friend of mine over there who also said the same thing. 6 170's, leaving in batches of 2, end of January, end of February and then I want to say March or April for the last 2.

Got it now. I know some of their birds are extremely hightime aircraft so I wonder if there is a chance this is just those aircraft's natural death's.

I would have put money on the Comair 700's going long before 170's. I highly doubt it, it sounds like to me it's a "movement of these aircraft to the east coast for flying". A quick search shows their oldest 170 at younger than 10 years old.

Recurrent in November we were told they are spinning up the 175 program again with no exact date or plans for aircraft. Same thing with 700s. Also told that MSP and DTW 900s will replace the 200s in NYC if we don't get any replacements. They weren't sure about how people would get displaced or etc.
