The rumor mill is quite depressing today.

 

Is depressing the word?

 

Heard 170s going to Republic. All dual class to NYC by end of 2017. Additional 200s to ATL.

 

They could park them in the desert, and replace them with additional aircraft from Bombardier, remember Delta is keeping them afloat. With the way the regional industry is going, Delta would be best to start tightening.

 

Can't swap 70 seat RJ's for 76 seat, not only is there a cap on total large RJ's, there's a restriction on number than have to be 70 seat, IIRC...

 

Bombardier has something like 15 700's in lease inventory I believe.

Also, scope is basically locked in for the next decade or more, they could buy new aircraft at this point.

 

Here is something less rumor and just my own personal thoughts.

Reading the AWAC thread seems like more than a couple of you jumped ship to EDV. I just wanted to add a welcome here and say we are lucky (especially me, who barely keeps the thing upright most days) to have you all, and your experience. Hope you enjoy it here. What I was told during recurrent was the 170 program is being rebooted, no planes announced yet. There will be 17 more 200 comings from someone else this year. That two class aircraft will be placed in NY when they become available, nothing was said about moving any 900's from MSP or DTW. Management hinted nothing about displacements. The union said that the displacement word has not been used since early in talks about opening the 200 bases in NYC, and they don't foresee the company making such a poor choice. Management said after the NYC bases are filled they hope to recapture some flying in DTW and MSP. It was mentioned that there have been hints about a southern base from Delta, but nothing more than hints. Hiring still continues, with over 50 in December classes and 63 in January classes. Negotiations with the company about rolling the bonus into pay rate with Delta wanting the end result to be Endeavor being the highest paid regional pilots across the board.

More planes, best pay, good hiring, quick upgrades, rumors of new base, company preparing for new equipment when it comes available... Do you need a little Abilify?

 

Latest rumor is we will be getting paid on the 15th or 16th. Anything beyond that is simply wild speculation.

 

Agreed! Hold all the rumors and focus on truth.

On another note DTW 900 hours went up 1000 and JFK 900 hours went down 500 hours. Interesting?!
