Fair enough. I agree with most of your post but, look back a few posts and someone literally mentioned the fact he was on grindr in his college days. That is not at all relevant to anything.
Now I don't like a scab or "company man", just as much as the next guy but everyone is entitled to do as they please. You know as well as I do that some guys and girls will position themselves to climb the ladder through becoming management etc.
If that's the case with Swayne then so be it. I PERSONALLY don't think he should be bagged and have his name dragged through the mud on a public forum because some on here don't like him.
I'm sure despite his different views on how to conduct himself in a heavily unionised industry, that he is a nice guy.
If people have a problem with him say it to his face and deal with it person to person. People need to stop hiding behind a keyboard.
Just my 2 cents.

I am trying more and more to ignore idiots as it only gives them more fuel, so I didn’t bother reading every post leading up to this. . I agree with what you are saying, but just like Swayne we can also choose how we feel. At the time when all of this came up originally, the wound was pretty deep and the anger between the company/pilot group was palpable. Him deciding to drop a recruitment ad almost on cue was off putting.

I am no longer with Envoy and wish you all the best, including him, however I didn’t want this to devolve into something it wasn’t. 99.99999% of the pilot groups could care less about his personal life, this was about the specific situation I referenced above.

Take care.

I can see why it comes across as recruitment videos, but at its core, it’s not. It’s the same style of videos is consistent with his 135 days. It’s always been about the lifestyle, do’s and don’t’s, etc...

Why Envoy allows it, idk, but it’s not any different than before Envoy. It’s just done with high quality and awesome editing. He does mention the bad parts of the industry, but always keeps it positive. Because let’s face it, the Lord knows Envoy is better than instructing.

You’re right. His videos are not meant to convince people to come to Envoy. They are fairly accurate depictions of what a regional pilot does. He doesn’t deserve the hate... and while he may have been a participant in a very commonly used gay app... he has been in a committed relationship for a while now. He is also wayyy less of a company man than you think. Stop hating on the guy. He has done good things for himself, and he is mostly a line pilot. Also, if you got **** to say... come in person. I consider Swayne a good friend, and a genuine person.

I still contend he’s not the same as some celebrity as this forum treats him. He’s one of us. You can look him up, find him, and talk to him personally. Alternatively, you can comment in the content section of his videos. Hiding behind a screen name here and launching personal attacks is chicken ****.

I’ve never met him so I’m not defending a ‘friend’. I’m just commenting on how this thread sounds to me as I read it.

MOD INPUT: I think most of you get it now, but let's knock off all discussion of his personal private life, that's only a legit topic if somebody gets arrested for it.

Thanks

Thank you. I am sure that many of the fools who run their mouths here probably have all sorts of stupid crap documented that they did in their fraternities, the military or with the slumpbuster that they drug out of a bar in BUF. The only thing that matters is if you can spend four days with someone and not want to kill them and if they are a safe/competent pilot. Other than that, I do not give a crap about what the person next to me does or did in the past with their personal life.

wow, jealous much?
