You have no idea. And that is the problem. You are a cheerleader for the mediocrity that is Envoy. You just see what has been good for you rather than wanting it to be better for everyone.

And you seem to downplay the fact that there is still ALMOST a 50/50 chance of NOT getting that.
Maybe you’ll get lucky and avoid being displaced into a 145 as Captain.
And maybe if you avoid the 145 and get the 175 you’ll avoid a year of reserve, but don’t count on it.
Airport standby and two hour “long call” are still crap reserve rules.

I vascillate on whether Envoy creates smug 175 FOs who’ve hardly experienced reserve on purpose to doom pilot unity or if it’s just because they’re bad at staffing. Regardless of whether they do it on purpose though, it is highly effective.

Forced upgrades and reserve that is only airport standby and two hour call out. Industry lagging pay. What other carrier can you say that about. Add to that the latest in adversarial management.
Dera thinks everything is fine as long as he can get more people below him on the DFL reserve list.
As long as Envoy is getting that, nothing will improve.
I can guarantee that if he had ended up not getting his SNJ in DFW he would have a different line.
Envoy can be two completely different airlines. BUT NO MATTER WHAT AIRCRAFT YOU ARE ON, OR WHETHER YOU LIVE IN BASE, ENVOY COULD BE MUCH BETTER.

I don't downplay anything. It is what it is. If you get 145 ORD, you can move back to DFW in a month or two, no big deal.
If you get displaced to 145 as captain, you'll get back to DFW soon. No big deal.
Airport standby doesn't happen often, no big deal.
It's all about living in base. If you commute, well, choose another airline.
