Horse$hit. If 5% of the qualified applicants are blondes and 50% of the people selected are blondes, for any n greater than four that is a statistically significant selection bias. For any n greater than ten, it is a HUGELY significant selection bias.

You aren’t asking for equal opportunity, you are asking for equality of outcome. It ain’t the same thing, dude.

also, and this has been stated numerous times, the United program is not saying they are only hiring minorities. You can still interview and get the job, and just because of the sheer numbers of current pilots it will still be white male. But their ground up zero to hero program? That’s what they are discussing, which won’t even be the bulk of their hires. So that’s still less than half of a half. All you have to do is look at current new hire classes at majors and you’ll see who still remains the majority. Look at all the recent attrition at envoy, was it all the women and black pilots? I don’t think so. The fact is, at the end of the day when you go to class at a major the majority of the class will still be white males. So stop playing victim the numbers do not support your claims, but the flight deck is an echo chamber and a great deal of you want to keep playing victim.
Ok wise one, if you have a group of “it’s”, the red “it’s” are regularly hired with less qualifications than the blue “it’s” because the company favors red “it’s”, that’s discriminatory.

It doesn’t matter if 90% of the current employees are blue “it’s”, or available future hires are blue “it’s”.

I bet your balls are in your wife's purse.

Wow, didn’t mean to trigger so many of you with challenging your world view. Sorry to offend when reality does not conform to your feelings. Seriously, go look at any new hire class and tell me what you see. How often are there all male new hire classes? You’re not a minority, nor are you going to be. The vast majority of new hire slots will still go to white males in this industry. Find a new boogeyman as to why you’re not getting a call from the majors. Have a happy 4th of July!

You keep running back to the same argument that was easily shot down the first time. Are you having comprehension issues reading through the reply post’s? You’re the only one who’s delusional buddy.

Take your BS over to Twitter or whatever social media of your choice, where it will go unchallenged.

honestly you’re the one who comes off as triggered. Your snarky and pejorative responses pegged you as butthurt from your very first sentence in your very first reply.

numbers are numbers man. Just look at the off the street hires. 60 were non-military. 80 were female/minority. Best guess is the 60 non-military off the street hires…… probably female/minority. That would leave 20 female/minority military trained pilots. Or about 10%, which falls closely in line with how many female/minority pilots there are in the military.

The point is, yeah, look at any new hire class. Full of white dudes. But the ones that aren’t military, probably had something else going for them.

Cool chart, this conversation is referring to Major hiring, not regional.

Ew apologize no header at the top, misread the chart, thought it was referencing the 3 Wo’s hiring (should have figured it out when it said “flow” hire).

It’s also a chart from 2017? That’s not necessarily accurate to recent hiring trends.
