Retention bonus will go away, that's for sure.
It was always 100% company discretion anyway, it specifically says so in the new hire LOC. That's why it hasn't been discussed yet by the union.

We are barely breaking even, if anything we will make less if you pick the 72 hrs lines out of dfw in the 145. So yeah there goes your “raise” ... the increased 5 a month flow was worked out by guys who are fairly close to flowing and could greatly benefit from it.

FOs got a 30% pay raise versus a 15% captains got. That difference is replacing the retention bonus. I haven’t done the math myself, but that 15% is about equal to the retention bonus. Plus you see it sooner and if you work more it benefits you more as well.
Certainly not propping up the company as I still think all rates and rules should have been better. Just explaining. And it is a win in the respect that it is hard pay instead of LOAs that are more easily eliminated.

Straight pay is always better than retention bonuses but yes, it's not a huge raise for FOs who only work min guarantee.

720*3= $2160
Retention bonus every 3 months $2500
FO’s actually got a $340 paycut if you work min hours because you want to spend more time at home with your fam.

You are one of the lucky ones.
Also, if you're going to use math, please use correct numbers. It's closer to $12/hr raise.
