Possible, but AFAIK, Skywest is the only one doing LAX flying, so seems unlikely to drop them to nothing.

Also, don’t know where in the pipeline they are, but isn’t Skywest purchasing 25 175s for AA flying?

I usually log on here during a down couple of minutes so having to wait 4 minutes between postings seems extreme.
Been seeing it as well recently. It is annoying for sure.

Envoy and PSA are seeing a significant increase in July and Mesa hits a peak of only 53 departures/day out of DFW. Envoy will see 190 some days

The 190 is just out of DFW for y’all. It’s on one of the internal websites

Sadly as more regional flying is taken from fee for departure regionals (except skyw) and brought back into the AAG system to cover mainline flying at cheaper labor costs, more will fold before things improve. Remember, around 90k people in those TSA counts are airline employees being paid with cares money backing to still show up for work.

Also, owning a profitable in house regional makes said regional more valuable when or if it comes time to sell it off for cash during difficult economic times. If you don’t think AAG will throw one of the wholly owns under the bus to save mainline labor, operating costs, and furlough avoidance then...

Hey, how about mustering alone optimism. If you can't manage that, buzz off.

If he's at mainline, I think that counts as optimism for him.

Sometimes I lurk old posts on this forum from around 2009 when airlines were reacting to the last major crisis and something I've noticed is that when anxieties start kicking up among mainline pilots, a small minority turn to soothing themselves by fantasizing about how much worse other people have it and how they're doing relatively well. Regional pilots are an obvious target for this therapeutic activity.

Just to be clear, I don't think this is a mainline behavior so much as it's a boomer behavior and mainline airlines have a higher proportion of those.

just because it’s not what you want to hear doesn’t mean it’s not a possibility. How about you get a thicker skin.
