So how did you come to that broad brush conclusion? Let me guess...you’re NOT part of that demographic? If so, it’s always SO easy to just throw another large grouping of people you feel you don’t belong to under the metaphorical bus of righteous, informed, and moral superiority of your younger, more informed generation, right?
Right.
It never fails to amuse me that each follow on generation or two blames the previous generations for *whatever* and label them as selfish and out of touch, while failing to recognize that THEY, in turn, will be vilified in twenty to thirty years time as selfish and out of touch by their successors. It’s like a Merry Go Round, yet each generation feels as if they are the “enlightened” ones.
Reality is a *****. Wait till your kids and grandchildren blame YOU for the perceived ills of their world.
LOL!

Do you mean unfurling the individual cotton strands by hand and then weaving yarn to use as mask strings? That’s just being efficient. 🤷🏻♂️
However, I was thinking more along the lines of using said “IQ points” to create a personal Jackson Pollack impersonation across the upper portion of your old lady’s stomach.
🎤💧
edit: blue label is the devil

CPA flying ALWAYS has a profit margin built in for the contract carrier. Envoy, PSA and PDT do not need to have that 8-10% extra cost. It may be a little lower or higher these days, I'm a bit out of the loop on the CPA contract stuff. The lowest I've heard it being was 6% back around 2009.
I'd say 6% of the $93 million Envoy generated in profits during bad years is a sizable sum that is better in AAG coffers than Mesa's.

According to the FB page, it looks like YX is making its triumphant return to ORD for the first time in a couple of years for AA starting in July.

And all of them in July...
i would say that at all. For one, number knows what any carrier gets paid...
secondly in YX’s case, our AA flying is predominately out of the worse hit areas on the east coast. NYC, practically shut down along with Envoy;
DCA, practically shut down while PSA was; PHL, wasn’t a huge station for us in general but it was drawn down to a smaller operation; CLT, probably was the least affected hub we flew out of and if anything we might have even increased a little there; MIA, shut down completely along with Envoy. Also during this time, we started picking up flying out of BOS after the 190’s were parked and are growing there. And now for July, AA has us back operating out of ORD, which we have not down since late winter of 2017...
I agree it was odd that AA drew back Envoy full strength first considering they still have to pay CPA’s, I think there is going to be a big shake upcoming overall within the AE flying. I think this shakeup was going to happen later this year or early next, but Clovis is just giving them the ability to do so sooner.
nor is it Envoy’s
Republic’s, our market planning just got loaded...

This was going to happen with the pilot shortage in another year or so. The passenger shortage from COVID came sooner.
