This LOA is an offer from management. Has not been signed off on by the union so no one has undercut anyone.

So no actual pay rate cuts, just that you pre agreed to work less. Kinda like what envoy has been doing for 16 years without an agreement.
no pay cuts.

If this LOA gets signed, then it's up to the pilots to decide if it works for them or not. It's an option for them. And my usually credible sources tell me having options is what a large number of pilots are asking for.
Yeah, I understand that Dera, but if you agree to this low ball number, there will never be anything better for the rest of us. This agreement is targeted at a VERY specific group of pilots here and to be honest, these same pilots probably would be OK even if we furloughed because they have options.

AFAIK your union submitted this to you. That they would even let this see the light of day is the problem

Looks like it’s either take the LOA or sit reserve. Unless you’re a DFL, then you’re fine. As if it needed to be said lol.

You're saying it's better if the union just votes down stuff without asking for pilot feedback?

The way the letter reads, it seems as if the union is endorsing this LOA. Any logical person reading it would come to the conclusion that either.

1. The MEC has already signed and agreed to it.
2. The MEC thinks this is a good deal.

I mean they specifically point out only the positives.

It has not been signed.
MEC can think it's a good deal, but it's the pilots who decide in the end. I believe there will be another pilot call tomorrow about this, where the pilots have their say.
