Any word on what domiciles recent DEC's are getting awarded (assigned) in training?

I can tell you it takes 10 months to hold Miami as a DEC and the other three bases are attainable within the first few months. There is a new system bid being run on January 3rd and we will know more after that. Sometimes Envoy assigns the whole class to Chicago or Phoenix or Dallas, and sometimes you get a choice. We're getting more airplanes delivered in 2024 and are overstaffed in anticipation, where the planes go will depend on American. Phoenix is very slowly growing but Skywest still has more American flying there, and we don't know the terms of Skywest's contract with American and whether that will change. Dallas is by far the largest base, followed by Chicago, then Miami, then Phoenix.

Here are the current posted vacancies:

In the January 6th award, the most junior pilots awarded PHX and ORD captain had November 2023 hire dates (the bottom 8 were assigned PHX), the most junior DFW captain had a September 2023 date of hire, and the most junior MIA captain had an April 2023 date of hire. PHX and ORD captain went unfilled. These vacancy bids are run every 3 months. If you don't get what you want in Indoc, there is a good chance you can get your preferred base in the next standing bid award; MIA will take a little longer.

Your date of hire is your Orientation date, but you have to have completed Indoc week to participate in the Vacancy/Displacement bid. December hires have not completed Indoc week yet.

Crew Planning says DFW and ORD will have 30 more hard lines of flying in June than they have today, PHX will have 13 more hard lines of flying in June, and MIA will have 9 fewer lines of flying in June. Reserve pilots in PHX are currently flying the least.

Most likely the first week of April since they run standing bids about every 3 months. They will announce it by HI6 message a few weeks prior. I believe that's the minimum required by the contract, but they could run one sooner if they wanted to.

What is the current junior line holder for each base. Currently at another regional, but if I don't get hired by a major I'll be applying to Envoy. Not a DEC but will have more than 500 hours 121.

I hear the FOs are holding lines in DFW after a couple months of reserve; it would likely take longer in PHX and MIA. I sure don't know any easy way to figure out the junior line holder in any base. I can pull up line number awards for all the pilots in my base and equipment, but with 350 hard lines in DFW, it would take forever to figure that out. I can pull up reserve lists in all the bases and equipment, but there are senior pilots bidding reserve and I can't tell hire dates without looking up each individual pilot by employee number. Even then, I believe it tells the date they finished IOE in their current seat and equipment rather than actual hire date. As a DEC who has been here 10 months I can't hold a line in any base.

​​​Thanks for the reply, when do you think you'll be able to hold a line? Where I fly It's very straight forward to find out who holds what, but we're quite small.
