Wait a second... "pre-employment offer"... what in the f'd-up-onboarding-sketchiness BS is that?? When did they start doing that / calling it that? Timeline for bonus? Doesn't make sense. Could you elaborate?

Also, trying to get back on topic for the thread: I talked to Carol with ClassPrep office this week on Monday. She said that there would be two classes in June and 3 in July. She said June classes were not full and that she expected them to be mostly folks who were originally scheduled for May orientations. Confirmed that they are limited in scheduling to some other department that provides names to them, but that the hierarchy was based on original orientation date, cadet status, and 121 hours (with priority in that order). Last thing she told me was that she expected to get a list of names for scheduling when they "get back from vacation" ... whatever that means. Presume she was referring to Memorial Day. Anyway, take all that for what it's worth, which probably isn't much.

 

I went in for a logbook review, but was told when I got there I’d have to interview…

 

Has anyone from the May orientation gotten an indoc date yet? If so, were you a cadet, DEC, or off the street?

Well that’s encouraging/hopeful rumor-news to hear. Hope it’s accurate. If so, I think it confirms that all they did was remove Orientation and that most of the 5/9 guys were all slated for the 6/20 indoc anyway. If the other earlier post was true that they’ll call us in 2 weeks prior for a drug test, which would be 6/6, then I would expect to hear maybe 1 week in advance of that in order to schedule a flight out there and all the logistics related to that, etc. Which would mean maybe we hear something by the end of this week...?

 

ugh my pal who was supposed to be in 5/9 has heard nothing and said they told him to expect early August when he called. Hopefully people hear stuff this week.

 

Do you know if he was a cadet or was he off-the-street CFI? I was/am a cadet. In the voicemail they left me when they told me the 5/9 date was canceled they said to expect a 6/20 onboarding date.. but that voicemail is all I have. They won’t put that in an email, and I can’t get them on the phone.

 

They usually call cadets in first, then prior Part 121 time pilots, then everyone else. Occasionally they decide to prioritize Part 121 time pilots. You may be told different dates based on where you fall on their priority list.

So much conflicting information. This tells me that no one knows anything, and we're all just guessing.
