Envoy typically runs Indoc classes every two weeks, with occasional pauses around Thanksgiving and Christmas. I would expect at least a December 2nd class, possibly a December 16th class. The August 8th email from Ric Wilson stated that cadets would be placed into training first before any off the street hires. I don't think you are going to find out how many cadets are waiting from the internet. Likely the recruiting team hasn't figured out the state of hiring yet, especially since some people in their CJO pool may have gone elsewhere. They have a tendency to plan only for the immediate future and keep re-evaluating.

Once the November 18th class starts you will likely hear more rumors. Hope for the best and plan for the worst.

I know it was cancelled, but any idea the size of your 5/9 indoc class?

I am pretty sure my ATP/CTP was the last they were paying for. Maybe they’ll start that back up? The ATP/CTP course had about 24 people in it, but only two of us were with Envoy, and the other guy wasn’t a cadet. I’ve got buddies who fly for Envoy, and they say their ATP/CTP courses were at least half Envoy recruits. I kind of figured bad news was on the horizon at that point.

bad news.....

it's funny hearing Guys complain that getting a 121 jet FO job and not even having their ATP yet and making six figures to start is "bad news."

Thanks!

I was onboarded as a cadet 5/18/23. Hit my 1500 hours 5/22/24, but they never sent me to ATP/CTP. I have called several times over these past 4 months to try and get them to at least get my ATP/CTP done and they wouldn't let me.

It wasn’t cancelled, they just shrunk it from 60 to around 12, all DEC/HTFO. Of the remaining 48, around 12 came in later weeks. So that leaves a few dozen.

Yeah, bad news cause I didn’t actually get the job and needed to find a way to eat!

Seriously! When I think of the **** I had to do 30 years ago, not to mention the pay (or lack thereof), this really makes me laugh!

I'm really, really glad that the airline industry has changed for the better, but I can't help but think that some newcomers a whiny and entitled.

I really hope that is not the case. When I became a Cadet and signed the contract I was under the impression they were for sure going to pay for ATP/CTP.

I don’t think it’s whiny or entitled to say that losing your job is bad news. Calm down, oletimers

Well it's called life! And if you need to eat, there's always a job at McDonalds. Not to mention, this is short-lived and you will make excellent money as soon as you do get back in. So yes, it strikes me a little whiny, or perhaps it's just a lack of persepective of what this industry can be like.
