Additionally, I’ve heard straight from a recruiter that if you are a graduate of a part 141 aviation college (riddle, Purdue, ASU .etc), it puts you to the top of the stack. Which is because those guys and gals have the best pass rate through our training (99.9 something percent). In this hiring climate, it makes sense they prioritize those who’ve historically had the best success in training.

Or AAG is getting kickbacks from those schools to make sure there is no stagnation / bad PR from folks shelling out $200k+ for a degree w/CPL only to find out there is no work at the end of the tunnel. Hard to recruit young folks eager to burn money if rumors begin that your chosen degree field has no immediate openings.

Just saying….

Question: did you guys email the general pilot recruiting address on the company's website? I've pinged them a couple of times now and have never gotten a response...

C'mon, it's not 2022 or 23. Not sure if that's what recruiting is actually telling people, the rumor mill, or if it's wishful thinking on the forum. I say that as someone who likely has less total time than the median RJ captain and was a beneficiary of that era.

If it makes you feel any better, I paid my dues in other ways...including earning food stamp money, a furlough, a furlough due to shut down, and wandering the IT wilderness for a decade.

I just got the call. I guess they're still filling the April 21st class.

Wow that's good news, makes me wonder what the size of these spring/early summer classes are going to be.

Yeah, I'm not sure either. I think someone who was in the class dropped and they used me to fill their spot because that class was announced like a week or two ago. Seems odd they'd wait this long to notify, but I'm definitely not complaining lol. I was in the canceled June class from last year, so I guess they're digging into that list now.
