Looks like another big class is starting tomorrow.
I am seeing LOTS of people being interviewed.

We’re also running upgrade classes. Captain staffing is tight with the increased summer flying, it should loosen up in the fall. We haven’t had forced upgrades since January 2024, they might come back if not enough pilots bid for captain on the next bid award. ALPA says Envoy plans to flow more pilots to AA than contractually required for a while but flow is still 7 years at the moment.

What are the class breakdowns, specifically how many off the street FOs?

Also, how long does it take to hold MIA?

Not related but, I have a question about traveling to the interview.

They gave me a “Space Available Seat” I’m wondering, what happens if there is no space available and I cannot get in my flight? Considering there are 3 other flights that day from my location to DFW.

I thought they’d fly you in a confirmed ticket…

(excuse my ignorance y’all!).

I can't remember what the actual code is, but you're basically a confirmed seat. I wouldn't worry about it.

Agree, it assigned a seat at check in 24 hours prior. Even with several other flights to DFW cancelled and delayed, our seats were maintained and I got to Dallas no issue. The standby list was long, so I think it is more of a confirmed seat than a standby seat.

Anyone get an interview prior to 1500? I’ve heard they’re only interviewing after hitting mins but wondering if that’s changed.

sitting at 1350 with ATP/CTP complete. Trying to speed run the last 150 so I don’t miss the hiring window

I did my ATP/CTP around 1300 and didn’t hear back until I met mins. Granted this is when they were still on a hiring freeze, but everyone I know who got an invite to interview was at mins.

Question for you, how far before class did they email you information on footprint/travel/etc. before class?

Dang, 7 months!

I have high hopes they put me in class within 2 months as others here have experienced.
