Its perspective. I know who John is and trust him. I don't know who Mason is and take everything he says with a grain of salt, although it is entertaining to say the least. Although, I'm not taking sides.

From the Eagle union leadership perspective, which spends an inordinate amount of time squashing rumors, Mason creates a distraction.

As one LEC chair said, "What difference does it make if we meet in DFW, DCA or PHL? Who cares. What has he really said that actually makes a difference? It's a distraction I(we) don't need, and serves no purpose other than to foster doubt, worry, and fear within the pilot group."

(I hate to steal quotes from other boards, but I couldn't have said it better).

So, really has the Eagle pilots group best interest? That's up for you to decide.

This is what I have been thinking all along but nobody wants to hear it.

The posts from our old comm chair Rich before the last TA vote were the most hypocritical BS ever and the eaglelounge sheep just ate it up without a second thought. He was the biggest online supporter of the bankruptcy TA, preaching how we must live to fight another day and how we must protect our jobs, and eat that lousy TA. The second he decided to flow to AA and got his ticket out to saftey. He puled a Complete 180 for the latest TA. Hardline no concessions, burn it down. Spreading emails and posts.. Protect your future earnings at AA. Stand up to management, let them give the planes away.. Of course he wouldn't have to live with the consequences and had everything to gain at this point, but whatever, right? Of course the sheep never questioned the flip-flop once he got his golden ticket to AA. They were oblivious. A few of us saw it for exactly what it was though. BS. He was a self proclaimed Eagle lifer, then changed his mind because he was Scared to stay for fear of what was going on here. Yet he has the gall to try and preach to us about "fear". Hypocricy at its finest.

I don't blame him for changing his mind or the others.. But they are a terrible source of information about critical life altering decisions when they have zero skin in the game anymore.

If we are to succeed in the future these "hard truths" need to come to light.

 

Never wanted this to be about me. It should be about you guys getting a good deal. If it's going to revolve around me and that's where it's headed then I'm out. I pass on what I hear; it's that simple. If it's causing this much trouble; then it isn't worth it anymore to me. You guys need to be united in this battle, whichever way you go. I'm becoming a problem, so I'll stop. Perhaps this is what John meant. I still don't think he knows me, he still hasn't PM'd me; but I will stop rather than cause a loss of focus among you. Your attention needs to be on the company, not on me, John or anybody else.
