Looks like if we had voted that last contract in we may have had a LAX base again, that's where the Compass 170s are going. That stings.

I hope you carry around an ample supply of tissues wherever you go.

And if I waived my paycheck I too could fly a b777.

So, any news on yesterday's meeting between Alpa and the company?

Highly, highly doubtful. AE has never completely shut down a crew base, only to reopen it again.

My advice is to take whatever proposal they've worked out. "Standing up for the industry" has done nothing but hurt our career prospects at Envoy, don't sacrifice your future for some pie in the sky ideal.

Are you for real? First you state that your career is over because you're 30 years old and haven't been hired at a major. All is lost, according to you - no recovery possible.

Now you give this advice? Standing up for yourself was worth it, but for others it isn't? If you really want to destroy Envoy, encouraging PDT to take concessions for growth is a sure fire way to do it.

I fail to see your logic.

Are Envoys 700s 100% slated to go to another carrier?

We didn't really stand up for ourselves, we made a poor decision based on anger and misinformation about a "pilot shortage". It was the wrong choice and now we are facing the consequences of our decision.

As far as my advice to the PDT pilots, I'd never advise someone else to hurt themselves for my personal gain. You're absolutely correct that if PDT accepts the contract our meager chance at survival is squashed, but we made a choice and it's not up to the PDT pilots to save us. I haven't seem their proposed deal but it is likely that the 12/4 pay cap for them is still a raise, that coupled with the flow to AA that was once proposed to us would be a good deal for them.

The last I heard was that the 700s were at Envoy for the forseeable future. I'm not sure what that is worth, if anything.
