The biggest evidence for this would be that it is working. I know of a handful of guys who were on the fence, wanted to stay here for the rest of their careers, but flowed to AA because they were scared. That being said, they've also scared away badly needed new hires, and we are returning more flying to AA, so there's the counterpoint. I know it is only internet discussion forum advice, but that's the only kind I can give you: make a list of pro's and con's, and make sure you include domiciles high on the lists. Living in base is infinitely better than commuting, especially when dealing with regional reserve schedules. Good luck.

Living in base at Envoy isn't an option, chances are they'll just close the base.

Yes, that's why they just sank millions into a campus exclusively for envoy complete with a workout room, cafeteria that serves sushi (yikes) and all kinds of other crap.

That's not the point. No base is safe.

But commuting is a lifestyle choice. You know it's true because Bowler said so.
