Whether it is financially sensible to jump through this many hoops and infuriate so many employees in order to avoid rewarding pilots who have put in years of work for the company is up for debate. I have a strong suspicion it's not even close to worth it, but I guarantee their power point meetings will show big savings on charts that will never show the full picture.

Posible. Thats why we should vote NO to any concessions.

A contributing reason to close NY, those have been Eagle bases for a long time. Many from ops to ramp and gate have been there quite a while. I'm sure AAG wouldn't mind employing their usual backstabbing technique of giving employees the option to move halfway across the country to another position, the street, or getting hired on at whoever replaces us at the bottom of the list.

NY also has a history of "trouble making" MEC members, I'm sure AAG would love to close it.

My advice is to take whatever proposal they've worked out. "Standing up for the industry" has done nothing but hurt our career prospects at Envoy, don't sacrifice your future for some pie in the sky ideal.

Ol' Jerry has made a quivering mess out of you. Change your diaper and go join the cowards over at PSA.

"May not backfill". Means the net gain could be 0.

Don't know where you heard that but I don't think it works that way.

I didn't read the bid but if it says they may not backfill it actually does work that way.

My bad. I'll clarify, 45 CA vacancies will not produce 45 base transfers only. It won't be net zero upgrades.
