The useful Envoy thread

I've applied to Compass as well, however with no 4 year degree, I'm not holding my breath. I suppose I am more optimistic than most that things at Envoy will get better. I do not think a shutdown is in the works, and statistically, people will start flowing in greater numbers. I really think mgmt is using fear the most right now b/c that's all they have. I also believe the regional model as we know it won't be around for much longer. I'm actually pretty optimistic about the future.
The big problem is that even if our contract is superior to MESA, RAH, PSA, PDT soon. Pilots are going to those places because the "fast upgrade".
If they would be smart, they will come to envoy and upgrades will get lower. The main problem is the lack of NHs, not CA leaving.
Once they are done with 2008 upgrades, it will jump down to 2010. But since we are not growing, don't have shinny new jets we are not attractive.
That's why they want to bring concessions, because even that PSA got them, pilots are going there for the "fast upgrade and the 900".

Jesus, every single time the negotiations fail the sky immediately starts falling.
PDT will likely accept the deal, it gives them a raise, a future and a slim shot at an AA position.
I'm solidifying my opinion that AAG doesn't really want to negotiate with us. They just keep taking shots at us to keep the others in line, but I also wonder if there's an ulterior motive to these "failed" negotiations, crappy schedules, and self-induced staffing problems. Are they trying to set up some contrived situation to present in court at a future time? I don't generally subscribe to conspiracies, but the wastefulness and lack of any real concern on the company's part about envoy would lead me to think that they have other plans.

So I have a question. One would presume a great number of pilots at mainline American Airlines are flow through from Eagle. Why are they not helping in the fight? Leveraging their power to influence better conditions for you Envoy guys?
Just three months the industry finally took a stand and we making substantial ground for better conditions. Im just amazed how quickly things have change.
