From a friend who interviewed at PDT recently. Yep. Recruiter told him 30 envoy 145s starting next summer.

Want to know whats going on? Call your rep and ask.

They will tell you that no negotiations are going on.
Not true. Talks are occurring whether or not they are termed "negotiations." Just because someone tells you they are not "negotiating" doesn't mean things aren't happening behind closed doors or informal meetings....they are not the same.

I'm positive talks are occurring whether you want to believe it or not. That's not to say anything will come to fruition.

Talks between the company and the union always occurring, on many levels. In fact, they are even mandated (FTG review, hotels, grivence review, ect...).

Chairman’s Message

Fellow Envoy Pilots,

This is Sam Pool, your newly elected MEC Chairman. I was hoping to write an email introducing myself, my history of ALPA involvement, and a brief overview of where I stand on matters important to the ENY pilot group, but instead I find myself in the unique position of transmitting the following news without fanfare.

Yesterday, as part of my new duties, I introduced myself to company representatives as the chairman and a dialogue regarding the future of Envoy ensued. Everyone present agreed that the working men and women of Envoy would be well served if we re-engaged in negotiations with the stated purpose of finding an economic model more in line with AAG’s vision, while also providing the stability, growth and career progression that ENY pilots have earned.

In the very near future the company intends to present us with a written proposal outlining what changes to our CBA they believe are necessary to achieve their desired economics while maintaining the benefits of a wholly owned operation. ALPA has a defined process for these types of negotiations, and it is my intention that the MEC and Negotiating Committee follow these processes to conclusion.

It's important for you to be patient while the MEC with the advice and input of the Negotiating Committee and ALPA staff, reviews, analyzes and digests the offer and determines how best to respond. Now is not the time for rumors and speculation. Details will be released at the appropriate time.

Meanwhile, it is equally important that you engage your LEC representatives to provide your perspective on the path forward. Your voice will provide guidance to myself, the Status Reps and the Negotiating Committee.

Make no mistake, the path forward will not be without challenges and the outcome is far from certain, but all available resources will be utilized in an effort to produce an agreement that brings the most value to the highest number of Envoy pilots.

Lastly, if a tentative agreement can be reached, it will be subject to pilot ratification.

In Unity,

Envoy MEC Chairman
In this case, they are meeting the new MEC Chair.

Sometimes a rose is a rose is a rose.

Ok eagleguy. You have all the answers, keep in mind sometimes others know things you don't...this is one of them. Just like when you were positive about the "rumor" of Mia closing until they announced it 2 hours after you were so confident.

I don't know anything about anything, unless its written in stone. Even then I chalk it up to rumor until it actually happens.

I heard rumors for years LAX was going to close, then one day it actually happened. Goes to show you, say something often enough and once in a while you are right.

Btw, demands do not constitute as negotiations:

In the very near future the company intends to present us with a written proposal outlining what changes to our CBA they believe are necessary to achieve their desired economics
Different day, same **** sandwich.

cool, can you tell me what the 401k percentage will be too? I haven't seen their offer yet, in fact none of the MEC Reps have... what's your source if even we don't have it yet?

I'll use your definition. No behind the scenes talks in spite of what you are positive of. They very likely could start at any moment, but as of yet I haven't seen anything; and the MEC status reps would have to see it before approving the negotiators to even entertain it with negotiations.

Depends on when you get out of training. NY may not be a base much longer.
