And yet I've had Eagle pilots get verbal with me in the van after 9e voted in our TA. hmm strange.

Honest question, what part of Eagle's BK contract effected the whole regional industry, like 9e's did?

They lowered the bar. It's one thing to take a 2-3 year contract out of bankruptcy, but an 8 year contract? You don't see how that affects other regionals?

Do you think Eagle's 16 year contract affected other regionals?

Haha, but for how long? Those 1 year wonders will be sitting on reserve for years as the more senior FO's upgrade and step over them.

The staffing issues at the lowest paying regionals(look at what's happening at Endeavor), are just getting started, and will only get worse in the coming years. Management has managed to decimate the pay and benefits to the point that no one can justify the huge expense required to become a professional pilot, only to make wages that qualify for food stamps.
But none of what you just said means you are getting more money. Your company doesn't have it to give to you. They have to negotiate that with the big airline.

Parking airplanes does not mean more money for you, it simply means parking airplanes.

Running out of pilots does not mean more money for you, it simply means running out of pilots.

Bottom line, they are not going to pay you more. They can't give you what they don't have. In any event set your sites higher, its best this entire regional system just close up shop. All these little airplanes are better off being flown by their parent airlines.

6 legs on a 737 with 150 people each time is 900 people.

All of them. Flying 737's is not all NYC to LAX. You still got to fly those 50 minute CLE to ORD flights.

Amen! I would love for it to happen - as would most of us.

Even if the airplane and pay were the same, I would like the chance to work directly for mainline from the beginning and work my way up.
