That's what it actually came down to; the company showed tangible proof that a shutdown was planned. This TA, while concessionary, is still better than what PSA has. Of course, if those scumbags had not signed one first, we would not be here faced with cuts or no jobs. I truly hope those yes voters rot in hell.

Furlough protection wasn't mentioned. But it makes no difference, they'd shut us down before they'd furlough.
